By the Sea 2018 | Melbourne Family Photographer

Today was a lot quieter in the house as the boys went back to school. I may be the odd one out, but I love the holidays and having them home - no routine, days out exploring, lazy days at home, and of course lots of beach days. We had a great summer break and finished it off, by request, the same way we did last year (so they could see how much they've grown!).

February is Congenital Heart Defects Awareness month, and this month we are all participating in the Paper Hearts Project, a photo movement to raise awareness for CHD. Fellow photographer and blog contributor, Danielle Awwad of Little Farm Photography, created this project as this issue has touched her life personally when her gorgeous son was diagnosed with CHD. Be sure to read her story when you follow the blog circle around. CHD is the most common occurrence of heat defect worldwide, and for most people requires a lifetime of heart treatment.

Please join us this month by creating a paper heart craft with your kids and tagging #paperheartproject and #CHDawareness, so together we can help raise awareness and show support to the families who have a child born with a Congenital Heart Defect.

Be sure to continue to follow the blog circle around to see more Paper Hearts images. Next up is Jessie

A New Year. A fresh start. New goals, new hopes, new challenges, new projects, new adventures.

It's that time of year when I spend a lot of time reflecting and thinking about my photography journey - how far I've come and where I still want to go, the themes I want to explore and the projects I want to create. Some goals have been set and some lists have been made and I'm so excited for this year ahead, it's going to be a good one! Happy 2018! Xx
