Motherhood has a way of moving quietly, often without pause. Days blur, moments pass, and before we realise it, the season has shifted.
Each year, my Motherhood Mini Sessions fill my heart in ways that surprise me every time.
There’s something so powerful about photographing mothers with their children. The quiet cuddles, the unplanned giggles, the real, natural moments that make a family feel like a family.
Motherhood is more than outfits or perfect lighting. It’s the way little hands cling, the way laughter bubbles up without warning, the tiny gestures that feel so small now but will mean so much later.
These sessions aren’t about being posed or perfection. Instead they’re about being present, connection and love exactly as it is right now.
There’s no pressure to perform, just space to slow down and be with your children. The result is honest and meaningful images that will be cherished for a lifetime..
Intimate, creatively different and truly personal.
These sessions are suitable to any mama and her child(ren), as well as grandmas and expectant mamas.
Sessions will either take place at various locations on set dates before sunset, or at an agreed upon date in May in your home.
There are only a limited number of session times available and they will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

Jenny Rusby is a natural light, lifestyle and documentary photographer and specialised newborn photographer, maternity photographer and family photographer. She services all areas of Victoria, including inner Melbourne suburbs such as Richmond, Northcote, Fitzroy, Collingwood, Malvern East, South Melbourne, Elwood, as well as outer south eastern subrubs, bayside areas such as Morntington, Sorrento and Red Hill. She also services the west of Melbourne and will travel to Geelong on request.
